Stella Stone e Joshua Billsborough di At Studio, e il team di supporto composto da Paolo Bensi, Dario Messaggeri e Edoardo Anastasio, hanno realizzato un’installazione in luce della campagna vendita FW 2023 dello Showroom Massimo Bonini, in Via Manzoni 41.

 

L’installazione segue un’ampia e profonda ricerca nel surrealismo scultoreo e contemporaneo, considerando temi concettuali e analizzando il sublime, studiando soluzioni di impatto a livello visivo ed estetico. I fiori rappresentano un concept di surrealismo espressivo di vita e speranza. Ciascun fiore diventa simbolo essenziale legato all’umano, nonché trasformandosi in una scultura di dimensioni non reali, di misure e forme esageratamente ingrandite.

 

Fiori alti come un individuo, posizionando sullo stesso piano l’importanza umana in simbiosi a quella floreale. L’essere umano può’ esistere sulla terra grazie al fenomeno di impollinazione e grazie all’esistenza dei fiori. Approfondendo la relazione e rapporto tra uomo e natura in questo preciso momento storico, il fiore diventa simbolo di un futuro. Un hommage ai fiori, alla bellezza non solo estetica, ma alla bellezza di un dettaglio che solo ingrandito, riesce a trasmettere il suo valore e ricevere attenzione. Kant definì il Sublime come “grandezza assoluta”, cioè come “grandezza che è uguale solo a se stessa”.

Il Sublime non è da cercarsi nelle cose della natura, ma solo nelle nostre idee. Idee, che con un gesto, possono riscattare un amore verso i fiori e la loro assoluta importanza.

Based and established in Milan, Italy.

 

Stella Stone was born in Milan, and grew up between New York City, the Dominican Republic and London. Stella’s expertise are in installation and set design, visual making, artistic and creative direction, exhibition curation, identity design, event curation and production. Clients Stella has worked with include the United Nations, Google Arts and Culture, Vogue, Adidas, Nike, Antonioli, Maserati, Milan Fashion Week, Polifonic, Ralph Lauren, AVEDA and so on. Stella is co-founder of AT Studio, a multi-disciplinary communication design practice focusing on developing spaces between Graphic Design, Communication Design, Visual Identity, Installation Design, Set Design, Printed and Physical matter documentation and creative outputs for brands and companies worldwide. She is the Creative Director and Exhibition Curator of Lava Club, curatorial production team producing experiential exhibitions and live events, based in Milan. Her modelling work includes clients like Off-White, SUNNEI, Spotify, Apple and Dickies; she is currently with Monster Mgmt. Stone’s objects brand, OSEA, features one of a kind wearable crochet sculptures, featured in a personal interview on Vogue Italia.

 

Joshua Billsborough was born and raised in Milan. He graduated with honors in graphic arts at Naba university in Milan. He worked freelance for more than 5 years as an Art Director and Graphic Designer. He recently founded AT Studio, a multi-disciplinary creative studio based in Milan, widely exploring the fields of communication, fashion and installation design. He worked with clients such as Nike Italy, Zero, Adidas, Vogue Italia, Noisey, Red Bull, Yes Milano, Fondazione Pistoletto, Marséll, Triennale Milano and many others.
